The Memes List is currently at 49 memes!
I added about a half dozen today. All we need is one more to make 50! I would really like to make 50 active memes on The Memes List. Who has one?
How about a contest? I’ll do a graphic—title graphic, button logo, whatever—for the first person to send me the 50th meme.
The address to which to send it is on the The Memes List page.
I was just listening to a song—”Modern Day Bonnie & Clyde”—that reminded me about this little incident the other day. Since I’m thinking about it, I’ll share.
The Memes List is now up to well over 40 memes. Wowza!
I’ve also added a new category, Monthly, to showcase more involved monthly projects like the Alchera Project and Poetic Voices.
Thanks to everyone who submits memes to the Memes List. I’m constantly on the lookout for unlisted memes myself, but the List would not be anywhere the size it is today without the efforts of people like Nat, Beth, and especially Lily.

Dream, the third of The Endless, you are in charge
of the Dreaming, all imagination and creativity, everyone knows your beautiful realm, but none truly understand it. You are dark and brooding, creative, and spend a lot of time by yourself, just thinking. You are almost as serious as Destiny, but not quite. Everyone is enchanted by you, but you keep them all at a distance, even when you shouldn’t.
Which Endless are you?

So, while I was at the beach yesterday, seeing the Pacific Ocean for the first time, the Blog Love-In happened. I found out about it this morning. I’m late. Sorry.
So, thanks to everyone who reads, comments, and lurks here. And I send my love to all those blogs I read, comment upon, and lurk. I want to especially thank and send love to Bea for being the first blogger to welcome me to the blogosphere.
If you were banished from reality into a faery tale of your choice, which would it be, which character would you choose to become, and why? Would you be Snow White, destined to be rescued by, and live happily ever after with, Prince Charming? Or would you choose someone who’s entire fate is not yet written, one of the Seven Dwarves, for example, so that you might reap the benefits of choosing your own path? There are easy, glib answers; and then there are deeper, more meaningful answers waiting within your heart and mind. Which will you choose?

I experienced my first earthquake today. It was a short, sharp shudder of the walls and floor.
I’ve been through hurricanes (ha! old hat!), but now I live in earthquake country…? Oh, and there are two active volcanoes in the area (one of which is Mt. St. Helen’s). Uh, I bet it would be nice to live in New Mexico.
First, thank you to everyone for all the congratulatory and encouraging words in the comments of my post: I’m A Real Boy!
Now Strawberry Blonde and I are both proven to be be real.
Tonight I became real. Strawberry Blonde made me real.
This evening I met Strawberry Blonde’s best friend. Up until this point we’ve just been jealously keeping each other to ourselves, spending every moment possible alone. However this evening I met the first of her friends, proving to Strawberry Blonde and her friend that I was indeed real. I am not Strawberry Blonde’s fantasy. She didn’t dream me.
Friday, Strawberry Blonde meets my oldest friend, Anna. Then she too shall become Real.
“The water main broke, but they’re working to fix it as soon as possible,” a dapper young man informed me after flagging down my car as it pulled into my apartment complex this evening. “The water pressure is gone. If you really need water, and have a clubhouse key, there are restrooms and water there. There’s also a shower. It’s in the pool room—”

Um. Y’know, I can’t think of a single thing to say that would be funnier or more appropos than what you’ll imagine all on your own.
The people I work with worship the film Office Space. They seemingly never tire of quoting Gary Cole’s manager character. In their honor I post this, Office Space Soundboard, as found through Michelle’s Everything under the Sun.
I added to the Saturday Slant page a list of who’s playing Saturday Slant—and you can even load it into your sidebar or a popup using my handy-dandy, neato mosquito scripts, BlogRoll Multi-Browser Sidebar and BlogRoll SideBar Your Way!
This harkens back to the old question: If your house were on fire and you could only save one thing, what would it be? We all have many things, some nice, some worn, some sentimental. Of all your material possessions (i.e. non-living), which one is the most important to you? Why?
